About the Artwork:

High and low tides refer to the regular rise and fall of the ocean's waters. Low tide is when the water retreats to its lowest level, moving away from the shore.

At low tide, the ocean’s essence is gentle and welcoming, expressing peacefulness and ease. These attributes are depicted through color, shape and brushstroke in this abstract work entitled, Low Tide.

The two paintings, High Tide and Low Tide were created to celebrate the juxtaposition of the tides. They can hang beside each other as a pair, or they can hang as standalone pieces.
