About the Artwork:
When a storm comes rolling in on the coast, it brings with it both pent up trepidation, and a restorative, cleansing nature. The dark clouds move onto the shore, as beach-goers pack up their chairs, and seek comfort in their homes. From the safety of their windows, they overhear the pitter patter of rain through the screens. At times they hear the sounds of roaring thunder, as they count out loud, until they see lightening to measure its distance.
The energy of a storm calls to me, as I playfully call myself a storm chaser. I love to sneak outside, and listen to the crashing waves, seeking solace under the ominous stormy skies. As the rain washes over me, I feel renewed and at peace, despite the chaos.
